Britain’s smallest castle is up for sale for a mere £550,000, roughly $689,000.
The 19th cen爱上海同城手机版 tury single-bedroom Molly’s Lodge is set on approximately 0.61 acres of land near the village of Little Wolford, Warwickshire, on the northern edge of the picturesque Cotswolds.
According to estate agent Savills, the Grade II-listed property was the former gate house to the Weston Park Estate.
The castle, thought to be the UK s tiniest, has a pyramidal slate roof and limestone towers. It also boasts two reception rooms, a self-contained annexe, and extensive gardens, including a small orchard.
The home is located near two mainline railway stations with direct services to London — Moreton-in-Mash station gets you to London Paddington in one hour and 45 minutes, while Banbury station is only one hour from London Marylebone.
Molly’s Lodge is certainly a unique Grade II listed home and there really isn’t much else like it in the area, said Iain Powis of Savills. The Cotswolds has a real breadth of architectural styles with everything from pretty thatched cottages through to grand manor houses and rectories, but this Gate Lodge offers something completely different.

Founder and CEO, WiredScore
What are you reading right now, or what did you finish most recently? “The Second Machine Age” by Erik Brynjolfsson and Andrew McAfee.
What spurred you to read that book? My company lives at the intersection of the digital and physical worlds — WiredScore certifies commercial bu爱上海同城 ildings, their infrastructure, connectivity and technological capacity — so the book was definitely in my wheelhouse.
Has anything you read in the book stuck with you? Other books dwell on the woes caused by technological displa上海千花网论坛 cement and unemployment. This one instead takes the “yes, and” approach of improvisational comedy. As humans, what we do with technology is in our hands.
Would you recommend it to others? Definitely, because the authors are so optimistic about 上海龙凤论坛 the benefits of technology for humanity. The authors note that the challenge now is that
much of technology’s benefits are not captured in statistical data, like gross domestic product, because they are absolutely free.

NYC doorman sent sexually explicit, unsolicited photos to 6 women Police initially said there weren’t grounds to press charges, now lawmakers are trying to close loophole

A doorman was fired for sending sexually explicit photos and videos to six women who lived in the Tudor City Place co-op building where he worked.
Jonathon Aviles lost his job at the end of July after one of the women, whom he had sent photos of his genitals and videos of himself masturbating, gathered enough identifying information that the building s management confirmed he was the perpetrator, according to the New York Post.
We regretfully advise that it was recently discovered that a temporary (and now former) employee at the building used his position to obtain phone numbers of some building residents, sending them unsolicited and deeply distressing and offensi阿拉爱上海同城 ve communications and photos, Rebecca Zanes of PRC Management said in a statement issued to residents a week after Aviles sacking.
Some of the women who received the messages reported Aviles called them by their names and messaged them saying he d seen them in-person unbeknownst to them. At least one woman has changed her locks and taken back her spare key from the front desk.

Federal Reserve holds interest rate, stresses “patience” on future hikes The Fed’s decision comes amid a cooling housing market

The Federal Reserve has decided to hold interest rates steady, signaling a sharp departure from its recent policymaking.
The benchmark rate will stay between 2.25 and 2.5 percent, and the Fed said on Wednesday that it will be “patient” in making future rate decisions.
Some analysts take the Fed s latest comments to mean that the body will not raise rates in March either. Instead, officials seem more likely to raise rates once or twice in 2019, rather than three times, as previously expected. The Fed has increased rates in five consecutive quarters and nine times since December 2015.
The Federal Open Market Committee said in a statement on Wednesday that “The Committee continues to view sustained expansion of economic activity, strong labor market conditions, and inflation上海千花网论坛 near the Committee s symmetric 2 percent objective.”
But the decision comes amid volatile financial markets and a cooling U.S. housing market.
